In the 1950′s a child with CF would struggle to make it to 2 years of age.

In the in 1960′s a child with CF would be lucky to make it to 10 years of age.

In the 1970′s the life expectance for a child with CF was 16 years old.

In the 1980′s the life expectancy of a child with CF was almost 18 years old.

In the 1990′s the life expectancy of a person with CF climbed to 29 years of age.

In the year 2000 the median life expectancy for a person with CF was 32 years.

In the year 2004 the median life expectancy for a person with CF was 35 years.

Currently the median life expantancy for someone with CF is 37.  With your help and contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation we
can move this number of years up!
