SOLO RUNNER INFORMATION

PACKET PICKUP:  Packet Pickup will be at the Kansas City Track Club Office on Saturday afternoon from Noon to 5 pm.  The office is located at 208 W 79th, KCMO 64114.  There is also pick up Race morning, from 5:30 to 9:30 am, outside the Roasterie at 1204 W 27th Street, Kansas City MO 64108.

START:   The race start is at 27th Street and Southwest Boulevard.  Solo runners start at 6:00 a.m.

OUT OF TOWN RUNNERS:  The closest hotels are The Westin Crown Center, The Sheraton, and The Holiday In express.

SOLO SUPPORT CREW:  Solo runner’s may have a support vehicle.  Vehicles must abide by all traffic laws along the course.

CUT-OFF TIMES: Based upon a 13:38 minutes/mile pace, (to finish very near 4 pm with a 6am start.) We will be at the finish line until 5pm.

If you drop out of the race, please give your bib number to the closest volunteer/exchange point.  This is very important so we know you are safe and not missing

PACERS: Pacers are welcome, should register as a solo runner and will be assigned a bib number.  Pacers may run the entire course or parts of it, but should not cross the finish line if they have not completed the entire course.  Pacers are required to pay the full registration fee including the $10 gift to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and cannot be added once the cap is reached.

EMERGENCY AID:   All exchange points will be staffed with a medical professional.  Carry a cell phone for emergencies.


EXCHANGE POINT AID:  
 Exchange points will have water and Gatorade for all runners.  The following food items will be available for solo runners only: boiled/salted potatoes, salt tabs, bananas, peanut butter & jelly, candy, cookies and more.

AWARDS:   1st Male & 1st Female Solo  •   Awards will be distributed at the after party at Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 E 6th St, Lawrence, KS 66044, as results come in. All runners will receive a finisher medal, award winners receive ceramic mugs and pint glasses.

SAFETY: IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO PAY ATTENTION AT ALL TIMES.  YOU WILL BE RUNNING ALONGSIDE MOVING TRAFFIC, CROSSING RAILROAD TRACKS AND IN AREAS WITH LOW DRIVER VISIBILITY.

HEADPHONES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.  IF YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR THEM, YOU ARE DOING SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
