Solo Race Information
The Solo race will be held on Sunday April 12th, 2015
IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT TO PAY ATTENTION AT ALL TIMES. YOU WILL BE RUNNING ALONGSIDE FAST MOVING TRAFFIC, CROSSING RAILROAD TRACKS, AND RUN IN SOME AREAS WITH LOW DRIVER VISIBILITY, THEREFORE, HEADPHONES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED.
DESCRIPTION: A point-to-point 43.4 mile solo race from Kansas City, MO to Lawrence, KS.

PACERS: Pacers are welcome and will be assigned a bib number. They may run the entire course or parts of it, but should not cross the finish line if they have not completed the entire course. Pacers are required to pay the full registration fee including the $10 gift to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and cannot be added once the cap is reached.
REGISTRATION PROCESS: Online registration for the SOLO RACE ONLY can be found here. Paper registration forms may be printed and mailed to: Kansas City Track Club, 208 West 79th St, Kansas City, MO 64113. Make checks payable to KCTC.
FEES & DONATIONS TO CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION: The median life expectancy for someone with Cystic Fibrosis is 37 years. Ten dollars of each runner’s registration will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in an effort to fight this disease. Registration will be $40 through midnight February 28th and go to $50 per runner March 1st.

Please order everything you need when you register. If you forgot to buy shirts or meal tickets you can do it on-line- click here or at packet pickup or on race day while supply lasts.
AID-STATIONS: The aid stations will be stocked with boiled/salted potatoes, salt tabs, bananas, peanut butter, candy, and more. You are not required to use the foods offered, but they will be available.
SOLO SUPPORT CREW: Solo runner’s may have a support crew. They must abide by all traffic rules along the course.
EMERGENCY AID: All aid stations will be staffed with a trained medical professional. It is also permissible to carry a cell phone for emergencies, however; the rural areas that are a part of the course may drain battery life quickly or have difficulty reaching a signal.
